The Band 04:34
I burrow in my raw. Hieronymus Bosch Painting in my mouth. I had to let it out but it was serrated and not a perfect swallow. Marijuana pale, I'm faded and alone and I'm taking you all. I crucified the past in a dream I had a couple of nights ago. Can I be really blamed for a thought I have that's out of my control. Take an eastbound plane out of here. I wish that we were gone. Oh, the band is on the run again... No one wants to see it come to an end. Hesitation only breeds self defense. Breaking up would never make any sense. I'm drying out my socks and I'm thinking about the middle state we're in. Nobody's better off alone in some odd place they thought that they would be fulfilled. I don't think that I know any place I've lived. I fly a paper jet that crumples under pressure from the fist that clenches on the band and tightens down when anyone resists. Gotta make it small, cuz going big is wrong. I'm taking out a loan. Oh, the band is on the run again... No one wants to see it come to an end. Hesitation only breeds self defense. Breaking up would never make any sense. Your music's in my head and your songs are on my fingertips again. And I can't help but dream that thought of having everything I wish. She's a tricky love affair, but she's everywhere I look. It seems like such a mess, but I think that it could work...

You know her too well She wanted to stay A weird flash at night Oh no, what the hell? Is there someone in the yard again? I want to exist Unhinged from the frame But when everything breaks I want her to stay And we're back to where we started again Will it every really change? You're making me shake My restless parade The drama of teens A year to the day And we're back to where we started again
